.webnatin.com/matteo -ricci) Thank you. - Guide for the Implementation of the LS Dress Code Effective January 2008, all members of the Loyola Schools community are expected to dress simply, appropriately, and decently, especially at: 1. All official functions and events of and in the Ateneo de Manila University, including commencement exercises, convocations, conferences, receptions and assemblies; 2. The offices of all Ateneo administrators, as well as any meetings, appointments, or transactions with Ateneo administrators outside of their offices; 3. All Xavier Hall offices, including corridors and waiting areas; 4. The Rizal Library (Main+Annex); 5. The Registrar’s Office; 6. All events and activities in major Audio-Visual Rooms, such as the Irwin Theater, Faura AVR, Escaler Hall, and Leong Hall Auditorium; 7. All functions, events, and activities where the Ateneo de Manila University is represented, except those that clearly require other attire, such as in sports tournaments. In order to assist the security guards/deputies tasked by the Heads of offices concerned, the following serves as a guide on which clothing are now allowed at the said events and venues. The list is in no way exhaustive, but these examples indicate the spirit of the dress code. 1. Soiled clothes 2. Lounging / Gym / athletic / cycling shorts 3. Short shorts 4. Lounging / gym / athletic tops 5. Sleeveless shirts (for men) 6.Low-cut / backless / strapless tops 7. Bare midriff 8. Very short skirts / dresses 9. Very low-rise jeans 10. Slippers 11. Other kinds of clothing that run counter to the guidelines in the memo on the Dress Code dated 6 December 2007.

- New Book Return Chute As part of the Rizal Library’s continuous effort to provide services to the Loyola Schools, it has initially set-up a Book Return Chute at the entrance of the Matteo Ricci Study Hall. Students and faculty members can now return the books they’ve borrowed through the book return chute. Even books that are overdue may be returned through the chute, the corresponding fines will just be charged to the borrower’s account with the library. We aim to set-up more return chutes throughout the campus for the community’s convenience.
